National Take-Back-Your-Medicine Day

Tomorrow, Sept. 25, is National Take-Back Day, a day to return unused prescription medicines for proper disposal. It’s free, it’s anonymous, it keeps medications out of the water supply, and, apparently, it also keeps drugs out of the hands of abusers.

Now, I’m not sure just what use anyone would have for the soluble Prevacid that didn’t shake the eos but wound up making me feel rotten. I sure did hate it, though, and I’m  glad to know there’s a safe and easy way to get it out of my house forever!

Learn more about National Take-Back Day and find a collection site near you by visiting the National Take-Back Initiative Web page, sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
